Experience a Safeskies exclusive – the mini safety summit!

Day 2 of Safeskies 2026 offers you a chance to be part of two unique and engaging sessions. We begin with our one-of-a-kind live safety theatre, Outback, and wrap up with the ground breaking Mini Safety Summit—both designed to tackle current aviation and aerospace safety challenges head-on.

In the Mini Safety Summit, this year’s theme, ‘Safety collaboration 2.0’, comes alive in a way you’ll experience only at Safeskies 2026. At the Mini Safety Summit 13 heads of aviation and aerospace associations, along with airline and OEM safety leads, will come together on stage for an unprecedented collaboration and discussion.

We’re delighted to announce that Patrick Hornby, General Counsel and Head of Legal, Governance and Strategic Policy at the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB), has agreed to moderate this important session. Patrick is responsible for a broad range of legal and policy matters covering investigations, corporate affairs and strategic planning.

He regularly represents the ATSB in court proceedings and is an Adjunct Professor at RMIT University.

Patrick is also one of the producers of the Canberra Comedy Festival and will occasionally pick up a mic and get onstage if anyone will let him!
A big thank you to the not-to-be-missed line-up of distinguished industry leaders set to take the stage on 21 May.
