Don’t miss out! Safeskies Australia is hosting a hands-on safety management system (SMS) workshop specifically designed for smaller organisations on Tuesday 19 May, the day before the Safeskies 2026 conference kicks off. This is your opportunity to gain direct, practical know-how from industry leaders, tailored to your unique challenges.
Is this you?
A smaller crewed organisation which now needs an SMS, e.g. operating under CASR Parts 133, 135, 138, 141, 149, and especially one of the smaller crewed organisations which have been exempt, i.e. Parts 133 and 135?
An uncrewed organisation which is undertaking more complex operations, such as BVLOS, and wants to implement an SMS?
A smaller crewed organisation seeking to drive continual safety improvement?
Other key personnel within a small organisation?
Eager to learn about real-world SMS applications?
This workshop is for you. Limited spaces so act quickly.
Smaller aviation organisations, crewed and uncrewed, are increasingly required to implement an SMS, whether because of regulatory or operational necessities. SMS can seem overcomplicated and overwhelming for some small organisations, but it is important to understand that an SMS is scalable – it can, and should be, adapted to the size and complexity of your organisation.
The workshop will provide practical examples of how smaller organisations can tailor their SMS to suit the size and the complexity of their operations. For example, how do you manage confidential reporting? What does an emergency management plan look like in a small 5–10-person organisation? An emergency response plan (ERP) for a large airline is going to be very different to an ERP for a small regional operation, for example.
Walk away with practical insights and tools you can implement straight away. This is your chance to engage directly with industry safety leaders, SMS managers and regulatory experts in an interactive, discussion-driven session designed to answer your specific questions.
