A major focus of Safeskies 2026 will be AI and aviation safety, and we would especially love to see presentation submissions on the diverse ways AI can help improve aviation safety.

Recent advancements in aviation safety highlight the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in flight operations, air traffic management and training. AI-driven predictive maintenance and real-time risk assessment can assist in preventing incidents and improve safety.

In air traffic management, AI tools can improve conflict detection, sequencing and airspace management, while computer vision and sensor analytics are reducing hazards during ground operations.

AI also has great potential for streamlining safety data reporting and enabling adaptive, performance-based training simulations, supporting continuous improvement in operational safety.

And on our theme: ‘Safety collaboration 2.0’, AI data-sharing frameworks could facilitate predictive safety through secure, trusted collaboration across airlines, regulators and ATM bodies.
